So we were driving around our new favorite area - Melrose Arch - the other day and we saw a sign for a "European-style market" held every Saturday in the main square. They had meats, cheeses, bread, pastries, oils, seasonings, etc, from all around and we walked out of there with an armful of good stuff! In fact, we almost bought-out the Bulgarian couple who ran one of the cheese booths - so good! And although they had some bagels, our hunt for a decent bagel still continues...as the nice woman at the Jewish bakery stand told us, "NYers boil their bagels, we bake them." We not sold on the idea, and we're not giving up so easily.
All the Polish meat you could want...

This past Saturday, we were invited to spend a nice afternoon braai at one of Geoff's manager's houses. Ireti and Samuel hosted about 10 Citibankers and their partners at their BEAUTIFUL home. They are a Nigerian couple that has lived in the US and UK and we were all swapping stories and "having a laugh." It was a great Expat moment to be with such interesting people from all over Africa, Europe and the US. Good conversations and even better food!

We thought this was a great shot of Ireti and Samuel.
They shared some of their impressive wine with us
and we were all really cracking up!
