Sundays in Johannesburg

So we thought we would post a few pics from our everyday lives in Johannesburg. We found a great little area called Parktown North which is great for a good breakfast and some really good coffee on Sunday mornings. We can buy the paper and sit there for hours...which we did last Sunday. We're not much of coffee drinkers, but this place / area is turning into our little treat on Sunday mornings and really helps us unwind after the stress of the work week.

A few weeks back, we were invited to Lauren's boss' place for a Sunday lunch. Sharon and her husband, Reinheld, and their friend Helena, hosted a great Sunday roast and some great conversations. Their house was AMAZING and had this huge outdoor deck with a cool built-in braai. It was really the first time we went to a South African's home and we were very thankful. All had travelled extensively and we had some in-depth conversations - from the state of the economy to the political system of SA to the countdown to the worldcup. It was a great day and the company was "sharp-sharp."
